Comprehensive Computing was founded by Byrom Jomaa on June 7, 2023, making 2026 Comprehensive Computing's three-year anniversary.

Our mission is to elevate the quality, efficacy, and reliability of technology in Southern Vermont and beyond, to be a technology support resource that the community can always rely on, and to be good, inclusive stewards of society and our planet.

As we celebrate this major milestone in our business's history, we thought we would share a timeline that explains some of how we got here.

2023

  • Byrom graduated from Vassar College in May with a Bachelor of the Arts in Computer Science and Correlate Sequences in Earth Science and Mathematics.
  • Byrom formed Comprehensive Computing on June 7, 2023.
  • Comprehensive Computing took on its first official client—a local professional in need of software support and advice, whom Byrom had been supporting since before starting Comprehensive Computing.
  • Within the first couple of weeks, Comprehensive Computing added Abacus Automation, Inc. as our first major business client.
  • Comprehensive Computing joined the Southwestern Vermont Chamber of Commerce.
  • We began looking for office space to start growing the business. Through the Southwestern Vermont Chamber of Commerce, we found 425 Main Street in Bennington.
  • At the end of 2023, we began renovation of 425 Main Street.

2024

  • In January of 2024, we opened our doors to the public for the first time.
  • We started providing IT support to individuals and opened our repair shop for computers and small electronics.
  • We took on many new business clients and surpassed $100,000 of annual revenue.

2025

  • The Southwestern Vermont Chamber of Commerce awarded Member of the Year to Comprehensive Computing on January 31st.
  • Comprehensive Computing hired its first employees, including much of Byrom's family, making our business truly a family affair.
  • On June 3, 2025, we purchased 209 Washington Ave in Bennington, and we moved Comprehensive Computing into the downstairs suite where we continue to operate today.
  • We grew exponentially in 2025, and we began to invest in our community with donations to the Bennington Maker's Club for Bennington's own FIRST Robotics Team, the Bennington Rescue Squad, and more.
  • We started giving back to the Southwestern Vermont Chamber of Commerce, who have been instrumental in so much of our success, by becoming a Champion member.

2026

  • Today, we have five employees (not including Byrom) and contractors we work with to provide what we believe to be the best business IT support and computer repair available in Southwestern Vermont. We are working hard to improve our support and offerings even further, and to continue growing our little family business.

We look forward to many more anniversary celebrations to come!
